Validating forms with accents for users in foreign countries.

I am trying to create a software simulation for users in Brazil. I speak (and type) in English and they use Portuguese. The issue seems to be caused by the accent in the word “escritório.” As best as I can figure the way I type an ó is different from the way Brazilians type it and Captivate fails the field validation because it sees the two letters (ó) as being different.

Has anyone ever run into this?
